This print of an Edwardian lady had suffered minor staining and discoloration. In addition the drapes on the left hand side had been virtually obliterated by water damage. Improvement of contrast brought out the lady's features.
Removal of the brown stains was the main objective of this print dating from 1948. In addition the sharpness and the contrast were improved.
This print, dating from the early 1940s was transformed after the staining and discoloration had been removed.
This is one of a pair of photographs that the client had of his first ship when he joined the Merchant Navy in th 1960s. It had suffered wiith age, collecting a few scartches and tears along the way. After restoration he had two 18 inch x 6 inch prints that he could frame to help bring back the memories of his first days at sea.
